“I thought I could do no wrong, three in Egypt as soon as I marched in, but then that Middle East just wouldn't give, and I lost invaluable time and confidence as a result. And, oh, how I loathed the clamouring for me to start the battles, me to be the hero. Ha! Where does that get you? Dead in most cases, while someone else reaps the benefits. Not this game I say. But I responded to that malicious challenge late in the game most splendidly, although I'm sure the challenger has not yet learned his lesson. There will be more games this year.”
